We have Kay Taylor bringing the Farida Dance souk to Shimmy in the City. From class wear to designer costumes, from body stockings to fabulous silk veils, take this opportunity to complete your belly dance wardrobe.

Kay also has a good range of more traditional folk costumes, from galabayas to khaleegy dresses, melayas to saidi sticks.

From budget bra and belt sets that you can customise yourself to amazing designer creations. Farida Designers: Eman Zaki - one of Cairos top designers with her own unique and elegant style. Hanan Mahmoud - a fantastic designer with a whole new rage - most not yet seen in the UK.

The souk will be in the main Fairfield Hall Foyer from 11am on Friday morning. The souk closes at 9pm Saturday evening. No souk on Sunday.

The best time to shop will be Friday afternoon. Especially if you want first choice of this amazing range of costumes.

Kay will be bringing a lot of things not yet on the web site but this will give you an idea of the type of things stocked at Farida. Remember if there is something specific you want to try, let Kay know as it is not possible to bring all the stock. Kay is happy to spend time helping you find the costume of your dreams and looks forward to seeing you at Shimmy in the City for a fabulous weekend.

We have professional photographer and Oriental Dancer Tracey Gibbs for the first time at Shimmy in the City, taking photos of dancers in costume and out of costume if required. This is a great opportunity to have your picture taken professionally. Traceys' portfolio includes photos of top Egyptian dancers including Randa Kamel and Khaled Mahmoud to name a few.
