Shimmy in the City is set in Croydon, one of London’s most vibrant and buzzy boroughs.

Our two top-class venues are located right in the centre of Croydon, only minutes away from the main station. Most workshops and both shows are held at the Fairfield Halls with an extra workshop venue just five minutes walk away in the four star Croydon Park Hotel.

London Gatwick International airport has regular trains direct to East Croydon station, taking only 15 minutes! The station is just five minutes walk from our main venue at The Fairfield Halls.

For Eurostar passengers, St Pancras
International is about 42 minutes away
by direct train fro St Pancras to East Croydon
You can also get direct trains to East Croydon
from London Victoria and London Bridge Stations.

Croydon is close to the M25 orbital motorway
And min routes to London and the coast.
There is ample parking at our workshops and
Theatre venues.

Our two workshop venues are each only five minutes walk from the main Croydon train station, close to all central Croydon hotels. The venues are only five minutes walk from each other.

The tourist attractions of central London are only minutes away! London Victoria station (for Buckingham Palace and the West End) takes just 15 minutes and London Bridge (for the City of London) is just 13 mins. Trains run 24 hours a day.

Croydon itself boasts excellent nightlife and award winning restaurants and bars. It is also one of the largest retail areas outside of central London so the shopping is wonderful!
