Dahabeya (Elena Eleftheriou).
Dahabeya (Elena Eleftheriou) is a performer, choreographer and teacher in various styles. She started her studies with contemporary, ballet, jazz and tap dance and got het Diploma in performing arts from The American College of Greece simultaneously with BA in Marketing. After, she went to the UK where she got her MSc in Management, and while there, she was taking classes in Modern and Contemporary dance in one of the best colleges in the UK. When she came back to Greece, Dahabeya started studying Latin and Ballroom dance and in 1998 she got her Teaching Diploma in Latin and Ballroom American Style. After that she started teaching in some of the biggest dance schools in Athens until today.

Dahabeya's Oriental dance training started around six years ago. She originally started with American Style Bellydance with one one of the best teachers, Marina of Greece. She got into Tribal Style and Fusion, started travelling, and studied with many teachers like Kami Liddle, Samantha Hasthorpe, Morgana, Jill Parker, Shehrazade, Bozenka, Melina of Daughters of Rhea and in Greece with Eva Chantzichristou.

The turning point in her career came when she discovered the Nile Group Festival in Cairo and decided to go there to see and try the Arabic Oriental dance. She fell in love with it and started specialising in this style doing classes in Greece with Maria Aya and Prince Kayammer and in Egypt with some of the best teachers (Mahmoud Reda, Farida Fahmi, Khaled Mahmoud, Aida Nour, Lubna Emam, Mohamed Kazafy, Zeina, Randa Kamel, Dandash, Dina of Cairo). Until today she continues her training as she believes that learning never stops. Dahabeya participated and danced in many television programs and shows for many years now. She also dances in restaurants, hotels and events organised in Greece or abroad. The last 3 years she is also a judge in the major dance competitions in Greece.

In 2011 she officially formed the Kazafy Troupe - Greece and Dahabeya with Mohamed Kazafy are the directors and trainers of the troupe.

Except dancing she got into the organising of events in Greece and in collaboration with business partners and friends, they invited in Athens some of the most famous teachers in the world for workshops and shows. She organises haflas/parties and every year the Kazafy Troupe - Greece Show. Finally, Dahabeya with Prince Kayammer are the organisers of Oriental Passion Festival - Greece.




On Saturday Elena will teach Oriental Technique workshop for beginners with at least one year of basic training. Elena will be performing in the Friday Folkloric Show and also in the Saturday night Oriental Gala Show.
